Air Evac Lifeteam Honored During Paris Wildcats Football Game

Thursday night's Paris Wildcats football game against Ferris included a special recognition of Air Evac Lifeteam 139 and the lifesaving services its crew provides to Paris and surrounding communities.
While an Air Evac helicopter landing had originally been planned as part of the evening's festivities, the helicopter was called away to respond to a medical emergency. Although fans were unable to see the anticipated landing, the reason behind its absence served as a reminder of the critical role these emergency responders play in our communities.
The celebration continued at midfield as Air Evac Lifeteam 139 Flight Paramedic Bill Cross presented the ceremonial game ball to Paris High School Principal Chris Vaughn.
Air Evac Lifeteam is one of the nation's leading providers of emergency air medical transportation, operating more than 150 helicopter air ambulance bases across 18 states. Each crew consists of a pilot, flight nurse, and flight paramedic who are on duty seven days a week to respond to medical emergencies and transport patients between medical facilities when critical care is needed.
The Air Evac Lifeteam 139 crew expressed its appreciation to Paris ISD and the surrounding communities they serve for the opportunity to be part of the special evening.
Paris ISD extends its sincere appreciation to Air Evac Lifeteam 139 for participating in Thursday night's celebration and for the dedication, courage, and compassion its crews demonstrate each day.
Although the helicopter couldn't make it to the football field, it was exactly where it needed to be — answering the call to help someone in need.
