Paris High School and Paris Junior High FFA students are taking their passion for agriculture beyond their own campuses, visiting elementary schools across Paris ISD to introduce younger Wildcats to FFA and the many opportunities the organization has to offer.

And they have brought along a few special guests—their animals!

During the campus visits, FFA members have given elementary students an up-close look at some of the animals they work with while sharing their own experiences in the program. The younger students have had the opportunity to ask questions, interact with the animals, and learn more about what they can look forward to as they move through Paris ISD.

FFA offers students much more than an opportunity to learn about agriculture. Through the organization, students can develop skills in leadership, public speaking, teamwork, responsibility, animal science, career development and a variety of agricultural fields.

The visits also provide PHS and PJH FFA members with an opportunity to serve as role models and share their knowledge with the next generation of Wildcats.

By bringing FFA directly to the elementary campuses, students are helping plant the seeds of interest early and showing younger Wildcats that there are many opportunities waiting for them as they continue their education in Paris ISD.
