Lamar County Head Start Celebrates 4-Year-Old Graduates

Families, teachers, and staff gathered last week to celebrate the accomplishments of Lamar County Head Start students during their 4-year-old graduation ceremonies. The special event recognized the hard work, growth, and achievements of students as they completed an important milestone in their educational journey.
The ceremonies were filled with smiles, proud moments, and plenty of excitement as students were honored for their success throughout the school year. Awards presented during the celebration included Accelerated Reader (AR) medals, perfect attendance awards, Top of the Class honors, and Most Improved recognitions.
Teachers and staff praised the students for their dedication, positive attitudes, and growth both academically and socially throughout the year. Families also had the opportunity to celebrate the progress their children have made while preparing for kindergarten.
“These students have worked incredibly hard this year, and we are so proud of all they have accomplished,” said Head Start Director Eva Williams. “Watching them grow in confidence, knowledge, and independence has been a joy for our teachers and families alike.”
The graduation ceremonies served as a celebration not only of academic success, but also of the friendships, memories, and experiences created throughout the school year. Students proudly walked to the podium in their graduation attire as family members and loved ones cheered them on.
Lamar County Head Start continues to provide students with a strong educational foundation while supporting the development of the whole child through engaging learning experiences and family involvement.
As these young graduates prepare to begin kindergarten, the Lamar County Head Start staff and community look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the years ahead.
