Lil’ Wildcats Serve as “Officers for a Day”

T.G. Givens Early Childhood Center recognized its top two Big Kahuna fundraiser students, Judah Hunter and Katie Calabria, with a special “Officer for a Day” experience alongside School Police Officer Eric Johnson.
The students spent time learning about school safety and the important work police officers do each day to help keep campuses secure. They joined Officer Johnson in checking doors to ensure they were closed and locked, explored the police car, and even watched as the emergency lights were turned on.
Principal Kendra Beshirs said, “We appreciate Officer Johnson for taking time to teach our students about safety and community service in such an engaging, hands-on way. Judah and Katie showed great leadership and curiosity throughout the experience.”
The “Officer for a Day” reward was part of the school’s annual Big Kahuna fundraiser celebration, recognizing students for their participation and effort in supporting campus activities and student programs.
