Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!

PHS Repeats as Silver Award Winner

PHS Repeats as Silver Award WinnerParis High School has been named a Silver Award winner in the U.S. News’ Best High Schools rankings for the second straight year.

The magazine ranks high schools throughout the nation based on four criteria: student performance compared to state averages, performances by disadvantaged students, graduation rates, and college readiness.

PHS Silver Award winner 2017For the 2018 list, PHS was ranked 200 among all Texas high schools (including magnet and college preparatory schools) and No. 2,256 nationally.  The top 500 schools nationally (top 2%) in the rankings based on college readiness received Gold Awards, while the next 11% received Silver Awards, and the next 16% were awarded Bronze Awards.  Approximately 71% of all schools were unranked.

Among Texas high schools, 73 received Gold Awards and 155 received Silver.  PHS was the only high school in Region 8 (northeast Texas) to receive a Gold or Silver Award.  For more information on the rankings visit the U.S. News website.

The state changed its accountability rating system five years ago to one based on STAAR end of course testing (from the previous TAKS testing system).  Over those five years, PHS has earned 24 distinctions of a total possible 31 which ranks first among Region 8 high schools.
