PHS Students Advance to TAFE State

The newly-formed Paris High chapter qualified 9 students in 6 events to advance to the state finals of the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) during the Region 8 contest held recently in Mount Pleasant.

The PHS chapter produced three regional event winners.  Itzuri Ramirez, Jessica Ibarra, and Amber Powell placed first in Project Visualize for their public service project which collected boxtops for Crockett Intermediate School.  Other event winners were Ibarra in Children’s Literature Pre-K and Carol Sanchez in Impromptu Speaking.

The State contest will be held in January.  The chapter sponsor is Tori DePriest.
