Paris Junior High School eighth-graders toured Paris High CTE classrooms recently to learn more about the high school endorsements program—areas of interest selected when leaving eighth grade, that guide course selection through high school. Students earn endorsements by selecting electives and coursework under one of five areas — business/industry, public services, arts/humanities, multidisciplinary studies and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Dr. Angela Chadwick, Career and Technical Education and Secondary Education Director said, “We want our students to be able to make the most informed decisions possible. We have added this tour to our offerings of various parent and student informational meetings to make that possible.
Dr. Angela Chadwick discussed the culinary arts program while leading students through the industrial kitchen.
Students observed high school students at work in the Digital Media classroom while instructor Heather Hohenberger discussed their projects.
Tim Taylor discussed the Audio Video Production courses and showed the state-of-the-art BlueTube studio to students.
