Texas Public Schools Week March 6-10

Every moment of every day in Texas public schools, real life engagement and profound learning occurs. This is something that our students and teachers know well. They celebrate these big and little moments as they happen.

As a community, we too, should be celebrating these moments. The Celebrate Texas Public Schools campaign originally created in 1950 by the Masonic Lodges of Texas is the perfect opportunity to do just this and more.

Our schools provide a solid foundation with dedicated efforts by educators and support from parents and the community. We equip our students with the tools necessary to succeed.

NOW, more than ever, we need to make public statements about the great things happening in our Texas public schools.

Paris ISD’s 3,600-plus students will join more than four million others across the state in celebrating Texas Public Schools Week in March. This year’s theme, “The Power of Public, Celebrate Texas Public Schools” spotlights the host of educational opportunities available to students attending Texas public schools.

Please join the Paris ISD celebration from March 6 to March 10! Opening ceremonies with entertainment from all Lamar County Schools, Clarksville ISD, and Detroit ISD will be held Monday, March 6, at 10 AM in the PJC Gymnasium.  Deja Sikes, Paris High School’s Texas All State Musician, will perform.  Additional plans for the week include:

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
