T.G. Givens teaches students about Random Acts of Kindness

T.G. Givens taught students the importance of being kind by having each class perform random acts of kindness for others.  As a result, students were able to experience firsthand how good it made them feel to bring some joy to others.

Some examples of kindness they showed around their campus were making appreciation books for the cafeteria staff, thank you notes for the custodians, and thank you notes for Mr. Lopez for keeping students safe at parent drop off and pick up.

Pictured above:  Students in Mrs. Thompson’s class hand out flower pens to Discovery Center Teacher Shawn Reeves, PISD Superintendent Paul Jones, and PISD Police Chief Brad Ruthart.

Students in Lisa Thompson’s class made pens with flowers attached and passed them out to employees around the campus to thank them for all they do

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
