Paris Junior High brings Fun Friday activities back

Fun Friday’s activities are a way to reward students for their hard work and good attendance. Unfortunately, Paris Junior High has been unable to celebrate with Fun Fridays since COVID would not allow for large gatherings in one place. However, this past Friday, they celebrated their second Fun Friday.    Students that have maintained passing grades and had all assignments turned in are invited to the gymnasium for the last hour of the day on a designated Friday.

Students had fun participating in a grade-level dodgeball war for the first Fun Friday and had a grade-level dance-off with DJ Rydell Martin this past Friday.  “Our students had not been able to gather for assemblies or activities throughout the year, so it was very exciting to see our students laughing and enjoying the fun. They have worked so hard this year and overcome many obstacles. It was gratifying to celebrate with them!” stated Principal Kristi Callihan.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
