Paris ISD Employees Receive GROWL Award (October)

Paris ISD principals named employees for the October GROWL Award “Getting Results from Outstanding Wildcat Leaders.” Winners are Samantha Barker at Head Start, Denetra “Toodie” Williams at Givens, Jeri Kay Johnson at Justiss, Sharon Stripland at Aikin, Stephanie Staggs at Crockett, Melanie Burns at Paris Junior High, Ronald Dixon at Paris High School, and Laura Woodroof at Travis High School of Choice.  Each winner received a $15 gift certificate from Applebee's. 

A drawing for grand prizes sponsored by Service Solutions was conducted from campus winner names by Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Accountability Althea Dixon and Superintendent Paul Jones. Karl Weissenmayer, Director of Service Solutions, presented gift certificates to local restaurants to grand prize winners Samantha Barker and Melanie Burns.

While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.
