Veterans Day: Aikin Students honor, learn from vets

Members of Lamar County Post 3990 Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States presented a Veterans Day program for Aikin Elementary kindergarten students on November 11.

The veterans told stories about their service in the military. The armed service song for each of the five branches of the military were played: US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard and the US Marine Corps. The military uniform hats of each branch were shown as the music played.
