Aikin students participate in mock election

Leslie Moodie's Kindergarten class at Aikin Elementary School participated in a mock presidential election during class today. Students learned about the voting process and  took a ballot into the voting booth and made their selection. Moodie has conducted mock presidential elections in her classes since 2000.

While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.
