As of December 2, 2020, the CDC amended their guidance to allow two shorter options for the stay-at-home period. As a district, Paris ISD will change from the 14-day stay at home period that was previously advised by the CDC to a 10-day stay at home period for individuals for close contact and who are asymptomatic. After meeting with local health officials, the 7-day option with testing was not a recommendation. Therefore, Paris ISD will not be implementing this option. Individuals who travel outside the U.S. or go on a cruise will also fall under the 10-day stay at home period.
All individuals under this new guideline, who return in 10 days, will need to monitor their symptoms to ensure they remain symptom-free and take appropriate precautions for the duration of the 14-day incubation period.
