A special pep rally will be held to honor the scholars at Paris High School on Tuesday, April 26, at 3:15 p.m.
Seniors who have made a commitment to attend college, industry-recognized training programs, or who have made a military service commitment will celebrate academic signing day. They will show off their future colors and be recognized for their hard work in school.
More than 400 schools across the nation are participating in college signing day. It’s part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s “reach higher” initiative, which encourages young people to opt for studies beyond high school.
Paris High seniors Joshua Washington, Forrest White, and Darron Mitchell apply for college with the assistance of counselor Tiffany Blassingame.
