PHS Crime Stoppers provides college scholarship

Paris High School Student Crime Stoppers donated $500 to Paris Education Foundation to fund a scholarship for a PHS Career and Technical Education student pursuing a career in criminal justice. The funds were raised by hosting the Jail-A-Thon, selling t-shirts, and concession stand sales.  From left are Dr. Angela Chadwick, Career and Technical and Secondary Education Director, Principal Chris Vaughn, PEF Executive Director Sandy Holt, and Student Crime Stoppers sponsors Officers Brandi Taylor and Joey McCarthy.

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.
