Justiss Elementary receives donation from Justiss family

Family members of the late Thomas S. Justiss recently visited the school named in his honor with a mission at hand: to present a donation to Thomas S. Justiss Elementary School. Jackie Justiss and her four daughters, Marci Blankenship, Kim Hunter, Leanne Justiss, and Gina  Lancaster made the donation in remembrance of their late father-in-law and grandfather who served Paris ISD as a teacher, principal, and superintendent for 46 years.

Justiss Principal Renee Elmore was pleased to accept the donation on the school’s behalf and committed to using it for the benefit of the students and staff. “We are so grateful and humbled at the generosity bestowed on our campus.  The family has entrusted us to be good stewards of this money and to include them on our plans for the big things, share celebrations of the little things, and to give them the opportunity to suggest ways to occasionally spoil our students and staff.  We intend to utilize these funds in a way that would make Thomas S. Justiss proud.”

The family also made a donation to Paris Education Foundation that will provide five $1,000 scholarships each year to Paris High School seniors who attended Justiss Elementary School.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
