Making a Difference With Operation Heart 2 Heart

Ava Lassiter, a sixth-grade student at Crockett Intermediate School, is collecting items for her Future Problem Solving Community Service Project: Operation Heart 2 Heart.

Her goal is to "provide supplies for homeless children at school and at area agencies who assist these children." Aikin third and fourth grade Socrates students are collaborating with Ava by providing much needed items to help children during their time of need.

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.
