Justiss Elementary School has a national scholastic winner. Justiss participated in a nationwide program called Achieve3000’s Read to Succeed contest where students compete at the school level, state level and national level.
Josefina Peralta’s 4th grade bilingual class was a national winner. The award was given to her class for the amount of points they accrued.
According to the contest rules, 75 percent of the class had to complete at least eight multiple-choice activities. Each activity was worth one point, but if a student scored above a 75 percent the class received two points. If they scored above an 88 percent, they received three points.
