VFW picks Crockett teacher as top in district

Kimberly Dillard, a fifth grade teacher Kimberly Dillard, a fifth grade teacher at Crockett Intermediate School, was named the Elementary Teacher of the Year by the District 12 Department of Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Dillard advances to the state elementary level of competition. at Crockett Intermediate School, was named the Elementary Teacher of the Year by the District 12 Department of Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Dillard advances to the state elementary level of competition.

The Texas VFW selects an outstanding classroom teacher for grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 every year from nominations received from Districts throughout Texas. The state winners are then forwarded to National VFW for competition at the National Level.
