Former Paris High School football standout James Neal returned to his roots this week, speaking to student-athletes at Paris Junior High School about the importance of hard work, education, and the legacy of Paris Wildcat Football.

A 2019 graduate of Paris High School, Neal has gone on to accomplish great things both on and off the field. Most recently, he suited up for the Texas State Bobcats in the 2025 Servpro Bowl, wearing jersey number 25. His participation in this prestigious event is a testament to the growth, perseverance, and discipline he’s demonstrated since his time at PHS.

Now a proud holder of three college degrees and a recent participant in Pro Day—a key step for athletes aspiring to play professional football—Neal shared with students the importance of balance. “There’s a time to have fun and a time to be serious,” he said, emphasizing that success comes from knowing when to lock in and push yourself.

Neal also reflected on the competitive spirit he and his teammates shared, not just on the field but in the classroom. “We challenged each other to be better in every area of life,” he said. “That mindset is what separates good from great.”

He concluded by speaking from the heart about the brotherhood formed through Paris Wildcat Football. “It’s more than a game—it’s a bond,” Neal told the young athletes, encouraging them to uphold the tradition of excellence and unity that defines Wildcat Nation.

James Neal’s story serves as a powerful reminder that the journey from junior high dreams to collegiate and professional opportunities is built on dedication, academics, and heart. His visit left an unforgettable impression on the next generation of Wildcats.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.
