Justiss Elementary Teacher Josefina Rodriguez Honored as Brookshire's Teacher of the Season

Brookshire Grocery Company proudly recognizes outstanding educators through its new “Teacher of the Season” program, celebrating teachers who demonstrate dedication and commitment to their students' success. This season, Justiss Elementary’s Josefina Rodriguez has been honored with this special recognition for her exceptional contributions to education.

Mrs. Rodriguez received a $100 Brookshire gift card in appreciation of her hard work and passion for teaching. The award was presented by Brookshire Grocery Company representative Gregg Coney, who also brought cookies and punch to celebrate the occasion with Rodriguez’s two classes.

Justiss Elementary Principal Dustin Smyers shared his admiration for Mrs. Rodriguez, stating, “I am so glad to be able to nominate this teacher for the award due to her dedication to her students and her impact as an educator. Having worked with her for the past eight years, I continue to be impressed not only by her professionalism but also by her natural ability to connect with and inspire her students. She is a born educator. Her passion for teaching, her dedication to her students, and her ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and structured learning environment make her truly deserving of this award.”

Brookshire Grocery Company is committed to supporting educators in the communities it serves across Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Through this initiative, the company aims to recognize and uplift the teachers who shape the future by fostering knowledge, confidence, and success in their students.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.
