Paris High School Student receives $1,000 Scholarship from Paris Chevrolet and Texoma Chevy Dealers

Paris Chevrolet and Texoma Chevy Dealers presented Matthew Roland with a $1,000.00 scholarship for being their A+ Athlete of the Week.

Matthew is ranked 10th in his class and has maintained A Honor Roll status throughout high school. As a member of the National Honor Society, he exemplifies dedication and commitment to his studies, setting a positive example for his peers. His good nature and sense of humor make him a natural leader, with fellow students gravitating towards him.

In athletics, Matthew has earned First Team All-District honors in football for consecutive seasons and is a member of the Academic All-State team. He was a regional qualifier in powerlifting last year and also competes in shot put for the track team. His consistent improvement and hunger to be his best are evident in every facet of his life, whether in the classroom, on the field, or in the weight room.

Matthew's resilience is noteworthy; after being benched as a sophomore, he demonstrated perseverance by working diligently to improve his skills. He embodies the principle of getting back up after being knocked down, keeping his head down, and working hard even when no one is watching.

Matthew Roland exemplifies the qualities of an A+ Athlete through his academic excellence, athletic achievements, and unwavering determination.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
