Justiss Elementary Collects Socks for Seniors

The student council at Justiss Elementary School recently showcased their commitment to community service through an inspiring initiative. They successfully collected a total of 1,505 pairs of socks to benefit local senior citizens, demonstrating the power of collective effort and compassion.

The collected socks were distributed across eight local facilities, each dedicated to providing care and support to senior citizens. The facilities that received these generous donations were:
Spring Lake Assisted Living and Memory Care, Paris Chalet Senior Living, Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Stillhouse Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Brentwood Terrace Healthcare, ResCare Community Living, Paris Healthcare Center, and Texas Oncology-Paris.

This initiative not only provided much-needed warmth and comfort to the elderly but also strengthened the community ties. It served as a reminder of the importance of caring for our senior citizens and highlighted the role young people can play in bringing about positive change. The student council's efforts have set a commendable example for their peers and the larger community.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
