Paris ISD Celebrates Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is a nationally recognized campaign that brings millions of people together to raise awareness on alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse and violence prevention, early prevention and treatment services.

Paris Independent School District is excited to observe Red Ribbon Week with the theme: “Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free” from October 28-31, 2024. The district has organized a series of engaging dress-up days to encourage student participation and spread awareness in a fun and creative way. Here’s the lineup for the week:

Monday, Oct. 28:   “Red Out” Dress in Red
This symbolizes our commitment to living a drug-free life and standing united against substance abuse.
Tuesday, Oct. 29: Dress as your Favorite Superhero
This day emphasizes the strength and courage needed to make positive choices and stand up against peer pressure.
Wednesday, Oct. 30:   “Red Carpet Day” Dress as a Hollywood Star or Paparazzi
This day is all about shining bright while making healthy and responsible lifestyle choices.
Thursday, Oct. 31:  Wear Wildcat Spirit Gear
This day highlights the pride we take in our community and our collective commitment to staying drug-free.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
