Paris ISD Honors Junior Police Officers

Paris Independent School District is proud to announce the selection of junior police officers selected from their elementary campuses. Principals worked with the campus police officers to choose one junior officer from their campus. Each junior officer was recognized at a recent home football game.

The junior police officers had the opportunity to spend time with Chief Hogan and were given the chance to work with the lights and sirens in the police vehicles. Chief Hogan also took them on a tour of the stadium and led them to the football field, where they were honored.

The following students were selected as junior police officers for each campus:

Lamar County Head Start: Kyce Harper
T. G. Givens: Levi Jones
Justiss Elementary: Kelton Martin
Aikin Elementary: Carter Bethed
Crockett Intermediate: Kaidence Martin

The Paris ISD Police Department aims to build trust and foster positive relationships between students, staff, and law enforcement. This collaboration not only provided the junior officers with a unique experience but also encouraged them to learn about the responsibilities and duties of police officers. This program is expected to continue annually, inspiring more students to participate and strengthening the bond between schools and law enforcement.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
