Paris ISD Statement on Teacher Insurance

The Paris Independent School District school board recently held a special meeting to evaluate proposals for a new insurance provider for its employees, following a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. After careful consideration, the board decided to select Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas as the district's new insurance provider. This decision was primarily driven by the affordability and comprehensive coverage offered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, which aligned well with the district's financial and healthcare needs.

Historically, Paris ISD has prioritized covering employee-only insurance premiums, and the current board has reaffirmed its commitment to this initiative. In an effort to continue supporting its staff, the district will cover up to $589.60 per month for each participating employee, amounting to $7,075.20 annually before taxes. This generous coverage ensures that employees receive essential health benefits without the added financial burden, reflecting the board's dedication to the well-being of its staff.

The decision to maintain this level of support comes at a crucial time, as many families are facing increasing costs due to rising insurance premiums and inflation. By continuing to cover these expenses, Paris ISD aims to provide financial relief and stability to its employees, allowing them to focus on their roles within the school district without the added stress of healthcare costs. This initiative underscores the district's commitment to fostering a supportive and sustainable work environment for all its staff members.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.
