T. G. Givens Staff participate in first annual Givens Animal Derby

This year at T. G. Givens Early Childhood Center, the staff introduced a delightful new tradition to celebrate the last day of school: an inflatable animal costume derby race. This whimsical event brought smiles and laughter as staff members donned colorful, bouncy outfits, transforming into a parade of lively animals for the amusement of the student body. The excitement was palpable as the staff members lined up at the starting line, each one eager to show off their racing skills in their larger-than-life costumes.

The race itself was a thrilling spectacle, with participants bouncing and wobbling their way down the marked-off track, much to the delight of the cheering students. The competition was fierce, and the outcome remained uncertain until the very last moment. In a dramatic and exhilarating finish, Kaeyln Usry emerged as the victor, securing her title as this year's champion. Her triumph was met with enthusiastic applause and cheers from the crowd, making the event a memorable highlight to end the school year on a high note.

Looking ahead, the staff at T. G. Givens Elementary is already buzzing with excitement and ideas for next year's race. Preparations are underway to ensure the event becomes an even bigger and better tradition. With the bar set high by this year's success, students and staff alike can look forward to another fun-filled celebration that will continue to foster school spirit and camaraderie.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.
