The Paris High School Cheerleaders recently showcased their exceptional talent and dedication during a three-day cheer camp hosted by Express Cheer. Their hard work and enthusiasm were rewarded as ten cheerleaders earned the prestigious invitation to perform in this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, a dream opportunity for any cheerleader. The ten cheerleaders chosen were Olivia Fitzgerald, Addi Sadau, Hannah Johnson, Caroline Gillem, Brooklyn Chapman, Lilly Newberry, Kimariah Thomas-Yates, Journee Johnson, Ryan Sadau, and Ashlyn Phifer. This invitation not only shows their skill and dedication but also places them on a national stage, highlighting the excellence of the Paris High School Cheer program.
Throughout the camp, each cheerleader had the chance to earn ribbons recognizing various achievements. These accolades included titles such as Loveable Leader, Jazzy Jumper, Stunning Stunter, Amazing Attitude, Sparkling Spirit, Marvelous Motions, and Spirit Star. Each ribbon represents a unique aspect of cheerleading, from leadership and jumps to stunting and overall spirit. The Spirit Star ribbon was particularly coveted, as it came with an automatic invitation to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, signifying exceptional spirit and dedication.
The experience at the camp was not just about earning ribbons and invitations; it was an opportunity for the cheerleaders to grow, bond, and develop their skills. The recognition they received is a testament to their hard work, positive attitudes, and team spirit. The Paris High School Cheerleaders, under the direction of Hannah Sartor, will carry with them the pride and support of their school and community, ready to shine in front of all of their fans.
