Lamar County Head Start host Graduation Ceremonies

Lamar County Head Start recently celebrated a heartwarming ceremony to honor the graduation of students from their four-year-old classes. The event was held with Paris ISD Superintendent Althea Dixon and LCHS Director Eva Williams, who presented the young graduates with their certificates. The joy and pride were palpable as these little ones took their first step towards a bright educational journey.

This year marked the beginning of a new tradition initiated by Mrs. Williams, where a valedictorian from each classroom was awarded a special plaque. This new practice added an extra layer of excitement and recognition for the students, encouraging them to strive for excellence even at such a tender age. The introduction of this accolade aims to instill a sense of accomplishment and motivation in the young minds, setting a positive tone for their future educational endeavors.

In addition to the valedictorian recognition, two students were celebrated for achieving perfect attendance throughout the year. Their dedication and consistency were rewarded with new backpacks filled with goodies to help them start the upcoming school year on the right foot. Additionally, they received prizes to enjoy during the summer, adding an element of fun and reward for their hard work. This thoughtful gesture not only acknowledges their commitment but also encourages other students to aim for similar excellence in attendance and participation.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.
