PHS Swim Team Members Advance to Regionals

PHS swim competed at the 7-4A District swim meet held in Frisco, Texas, recently.  The boys' team received 1st place, and the girls' team received 2nd place. Winners and advancing to Regionals are:

Individual Races
Luke De la Garza won 1st in both the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle
Kelton Varner 2nd in the 50 free
Conner Avery 4th in the 50 free
Madeline Green 2nd in the 50 free
Jaxon Bell 2nd in the 100 backstroke

Relay Races
Girls 200 free and 400 free – 2nd place – members Madeline Green, Mazy Frierson, Zarha Tapia, and Grace Moore.
Boys 200 medley - 1st place - members Jaxon Bell, Caden Crowell, Luke De la Garza, and Conner Avery.
Boys 200 free - 1st place - members Conner Avery, Jaxon Bell, Kelton Varner, and Luke De la Garza.
Boys 400 free - 2nd place – members Kelton Varner, Caden Crowell, Matthew Edzards, and Conner Avery.

Regionals will be held January 27-28, 2023, in Frisco, Texas.
