Paris school board names new assistant principals

The Paris Independent School District Board of Trustees appointed assistant principals at Paris High and Aikin Elementary schools at its special board meeting Monday.

Mike Henry will be Paris High School assistant principal replacing Stephen Long who was named principal of Paris Junior High recently.

Henry has 21 years of education experience.  He has been assistant principal at Paris Junior High since 2010 and was principal at Travis Junior High from 2006 to 2010.

Henry received his bachelor's and master’s degrees from Texas A&M University - Commerce.

Over at Aikin Elementary, Jennifer Ray was named assistant principal to replace Kimberly Donnan who was named as principal earlier this month. Ray has 18 years of  education experience and has served as Instructional Coach at Crockett since 2011. 

Ray received her bachelor's and master’s degrees from Texas A&M University - Commerce.
