Graduate Awards Presentation: September 11, 2015 The Distinguished Graduate Award is the highest and most prestigious award the Paris Independent School District can bestow on its graduates. This award honors Paris High School and Gibbons High School graduates who are nationally or internationally recognized for their career accomplishments, distinguishing themselves as leaders and as role models.
Former Paris ISD students Dr. Charles Baxter (PHS Class of 1946/Posthumous), Larry Dean Click (PHS Class of 1955/Posthumous), Linda Bates Leali (Gibbons High School Class of 1965), and Jay Hunter Morris (PHS Class of 1981) have been named Distinguished Graduate Award winners. Their portraits will be displayed on the Wall of Honor at Paris High School. They will be honored at a presentation on Friday, Sept. 11 at 1:45 p.m. in the Commons Area at Paris High School and presented to the PHS student body during the Homecoming pep rally at 2:30 p.m.
Former students, staff and friends of Paris ISD are encouraged to attend. Community members who wish to attend the 1:30 p.m. presentation should call 903-737-7473 ext. 2328 by Sept. 9 to make reservations.
