Paris High School’s Susie Clark awarded Golden Apple

Paris High School teacher Susie Clark was selected as Texoma's Golden Apple Award recipient by KTEN television and Texoma Chevy Dealers.

Clark is the lead teacher in the Content Mastery classroom at Paris High School. She has 25 years of experience with 17 years at Paris High School. She is following in her mother's footsteps, who had this position as well. Her mother is now retired but remains her mentor.

Clark received a $750 check during a presentation Thursday at Paris High School. Presenting the award was Paris Chevrolet's Kelli McDonald.
"Mrs. Clark has a heart of gold. She goes above and beyond with her students at PHS, making sure each one is successful and receiving the help they need," McDonald said. "She devotes an extraordinary amount of time and energy for the students she serves. If they are sick, she checks on them and follows through to make sure their transition back to school is smooth."

"She is a Mother Hen of sorts: making sure her chicks are all well taken care of within her scope," stated Paris High School Principal Chris Vaughn. "Mrs. Clark's authenticity goes beyond her heart for students. She consistently asks fellow staff members how they are doing and honestly and truly cares about the responses."

McDonald also said that Clark is an active member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church and spends her free time traveling and making memories with her family.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
