Three Paris High School students will advance to state Future Business Leaders of America

Three Paris High School students will advance to state FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) following area competition Monday at Region 8 ESC in Pittsburg.
Earning first place in their events were Lexie West, sophomore, in Organizational Leadership; Zeel Patel, junior, in Personal Finance and Ashton Hostetler, senior, in Help Desk. Also placing at area competition were Skylar Smallwood, junior, fifth place in agribusiness, and Destinee Gunn, sophomore, fifth place in job interview. Smallwood was named the club's Who's Who for the local chapter and serves as president.

This is the first year of membership and competition for the revived PHS chapter. FBLA develops students for leadership roles in their community as business professionals. Paris High School Chapter adviser is Cheryl LaRue.

First place winners will advance to state FBLA competition March 23-25 in Galveston.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
