LSWCD Poster and Essay Contest

 

 

Deadline 4:00 p.m. December 16, 2020 



The Essay Contest is divided into two categories.

(1) Junior:  Ages 13 and under (maximum of 300 words)
(2) Senior:  Ages 14 to 18 (maximum of 500 words)

The topic this year is "Healthy Forests = Healthy Communities"

Please be sure that the following items are listed on the cover sheet:

  • Age Division; either Junior or Senior
  • Participant’s Name
  • Participant’s Guardian Name
  • Participant’s Mailing Address and guardian’s phone number
  • Pariticipant’s School

 

The Poster contest is also divided into two categories.

(1) 2nd and 3rd grade
(2) 4th – 6th grade

The theme for the posters this year is "Healthy Forests = Healthy Communities"

Please be sure that the following informatipn is on the back of poster:

  • Participant’s Name
  • Participant’s Grade
  • Participant’s Guardian Name
  • Participant’s Mailing Address and guardian’s phone number
  • Pariticipant’s School


The posters and essays have to be turned in to Lamar SWCD #415 at 201 N. Collegiate Drive, Suite 500 Paris,  by 4:00 p.m. December 16, 2020. 

Entries will NOT be returned.

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.
