LSWCD Poster and Essay Contest



The Essay Contest is divided into two categories.

(1) Ages 13 and under (maximum of 300 words)
(2) Ages 14 to 18 (maximum of 500 words)

The topic this year is "Healthy Soils are Full of Life"

Please be sure that the child's name, age, school and teacher's name is on the Essay cover sheet.

13 and Under Essay                                    14 to 18 Essay
First Place  -   $65                                         First Place - $125
Second Place - $35                                       Second Place - $75


The Poster contest is also divided into two categories.

(1) 1st – 3rd grade
(2) 4th – 6th grade

The theme for the posters this year is "Healthy Soils are Full of Life"

Please be sure that the child's name, grade, teacher's name and school is located on the back of poster.

First Place - $50
Second Place - $30
Third Place - $20

The posters and essays have to be in our office by Friday,  December 15, 2017. 
Our office hours are 8-4:30  M-F.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
