Referral/Eligibility

Diagnostic testing is available by referral to all students residing within Paris ISD.  The referral process may be initiated by the parent, guardian, teacher, or any other appropriate adult or agency.  Children who are not currently enrolled in school may be referred to Special Services personnel by contacting the Special Services office at (903) 737-7494.

Educational Diagnosticians serve each school by administering screenings, comprehensive evaluations, and assisting classroom teachers.  All students between the ages of birth and twenty one years who receive special services must meet certain criteria to be served in the various special instructional arrangements.  Each handicapping condition has specific requirements for placement as defined by the Texas Education Agency.  This eligibility is determined through the referral process and completed with the recommendations and placement by the Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) Committee.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
