Lamar Soil & Water Conservation District Poster/Essay Contest

Once again it is time for the Lamar Soil & Water Conservation District Poster/Essay Contest.  The Poster Contest is for kids 12 and under.  There will be two categories: (1) First Grade through Third Grade and (2) Fourth through Sixth. 

The Theme this year is "Dig Deeper:  Mysteries in the Soil".  Please make sure that all posters are on Poster Board and the Students name and address should be on the back along with their age, grade, teacher's name and school.   These are due in our office by December 17th at 4:00 p.m.

The Essay Contest will have two categories also: (1) 13 & under and  (2) 14-18.  The Theme this year is "How Soil and Water Conservation Improves Water Quality".   Please make sure the student's name, age, teacher and school is on the paper. 

The Essays are due in the Lamar Soil & Water Conservation office December 17th by 4:00 p.m.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
