Project G.I.V.E. supports education in Africa

Socrates students at Justiss and Aikin Elementary participated in Operation G.I.V.E., Girls Involved In A Valuable Education, and collected $324 for Brightland Academy for Girls in Cameroon, Africa. The students set a goal to assist parents in funding one student. As a result of generous contributions and fundraising events, they will help twelve girls obtain an education.

The students received thank you letters from the students that received the donation. Communication between the students will continue and they will share what they are learning. The Socrates students gave presentations over what they learned through the service project and designed t-shirts to commemorate Operation G.I.V.E. Their teacher is Tammy King.

Quick Tip Information

Quick Tip is a support system that allows students to communicate with school administrators. While the district already has many programs to help students deal with challenges such as bullying behaviors, stress, peer pressure, and family problems, Quick Tip helps break the code of silence often experienced by students because it allows them to report concerns to administrators anonymously.

Submit from App
SchoolMessenger Quick Tip app is available for both iOS (iTunes App Store) and Android devices (Google Play). Download SchoolMessenger Quick Tip App. When launching the app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the school district code. The school district code is paristx.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a crisis line. In cases of emergency, the site will direct students to call 911!
